First Stakes-Winner for US Navy Flag

A regular shuttle visitor to New Zealand set to stand at The Oaks Stud this spring, US Navy Flag (USA) has sired his first stakes-winner with promising two year-old colt Ocean Vision beating Harry Angel colt Vicious Harry to win the Listed Prix de la Vallee d’Auge (1000m) at Deauville.

Trained by Tim Donworth, Ocean Vision was having his first start for his new trainer after showing good potential in three runs in Ireland which produced a debut win and two fourth placings in stakes races.
 

 

Ocean Vision is the best of three winners from stakes-placed Balaagha, a half-sister to Group III winner Letgomyecho, the dam of 2021 US Champion 2YO Filly Echo Zulu and Group I winner Echo Town.

He is the first stakes-winner for US Navy Flag and one of four first crop winners for the multiple Group I winning son of War Front.

The Champion European 2YO Colt and 3YO Sprinter, US Navy Flag has had yearlings sell in New Zealand this year for up to $340,000 so will have his first Australasian runners this season and stands at The Oaks Stud this spring at a fee of $15,000.
