Rich Hill parade draws big crowd

Media Release - Tuesday August 30

Deep Impact’s Group 1-winning son Satono Aladdin has made an impressive impact with his first Southern Hemisphere representatives and he again received further positive feedback during Rich Hill Stud’s weekend stallion parade.

Sunday’s event was well-attended and a number of onlookers were viewing Satono Aladdin for the first time due to COVID-19 and overseas quarantine protocols making him unavailable to the general public for the past two seasons.

“We were very pleased with the turn out for the parade and the stallions attracted a great deal of interest,” Rich Hill’s John Thompson said.

Satono Aladdin’s first crop includes the unbeaten Australian trio of Grand Impact, Japanese Emperor and Koshu while he has also sired three New Zealand winners and black-type performer Sacred Satono.

Rich Hill’s roster also features proven stallions Shocking, Proisir and Vadamos and, as usual, they had an abundance of admirers in attendance.

They are proving popular with Australasian breeders, having kicked off the new season in tremendous fashion.
