Trained by Sean and Jake Casey, two year-old colt Brave Halo was a hot favourite for the open juvenile event over 1000m and strode clear to win by nearly three lengths and has now won early $90,000 in prizemoney.

Brave Halo was a $135,000 Magic Millions National Weanling Sale purchase from the Willow Park draft for Hancock Quality Bloodstock and was bred by Aquis Farm, who stand his sire Brave Smash.

Brave Halo is the first winner from Sebring mare Danish Bingo, a daughter of stakes-winner Danedina from the family of Group II winner Seradess.

Ulanova was the highest priced first crop yearling by Santos.

Ulanova is bred for speed being a three-quarter sister to stakes-winner Steal My Kisses and half-sister to stakes-placed Butter Blonde and Butch Kissidy. She is the sixth winner from six foals to race from Group III placed The Fairy’s Kiss, a half-sister to Group II winner Dame Giselle, who is by Santos’ sire I Am Invincible.

The Fairy’s Kiss was on-sold by Aquis at the 2020 Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale when carrying Ulanova and was snapped up by Paul Willetts Bloodstock for $100,000 and sent to New Zealand.
