Macau Gold Cup Winner for Savabeel

Savabeel gelding Bobo So Cute (NZ), who went through the Karaka sale ring three times, picked up the most significant win of his career in Sunday's M$800,000 Listed Macau Gold Cup (1800m).

Ridden by Ryan Curatolo for trainer MC Tam, Bobo So Cute overcame a slow start to score an impressive half-length victory in the Gold Cup, which is the third leg of Macau's Triple Crown.

It was his 10th win and lifted his stake earnings past M$3 million. He has now won three Listed races, having previously claimed the Macau Spring Trophy (1500m) and Lisboa Challenge (1400m).

Bobo So CuteBobo So Cute was bred by Mrs C L McLachlan and was offered as a weanling at the 2012 National Weanling, Broodmare & Mixed Bloodstock Sale, where Mr WH Shum bought him for $40,000. He then fell short of his reserve at the 2013 Select Sale and Ready to Run Sale.
