Gooree Park Stud have a long history for producing Group I success with the latest star to emerge from their carefully cultivated bloodlines being exciting two year-old colt King’s Gambit.

Bred by Gooree and raced in partnership with Newgate, King’s Gambit won the Listed MRC Debutant Stakes on debut in the spring by five lengths and was a close second in the Group III ATC Canonbury Stakes at his first run back from a spell.

By the sire of Golden Rose winner Jacquinot and Everest hero Yes Yes Yes. Second foal of a winning half-sister to Hong Kong Horse of the Year Street Rapper from the family of Group I winner Amanpour.

A very attractive and head turning colt with very promising looks and attributes, he should prove very popular amongst the draft.

Lot 404 Colt Brutal (NZ) x Ever the Same, by Canny Lad

From the first crop of Group I Doncaster Handicap winner Brutal. From stakes-winner Ever the Same, who has had three foals to race all winners with the Danny O’Brien trained Lady Shalaa (3f Shalaa (IRE) having had two starts since the catalogue went to print for a win and a second.

A colt with a stallion’s pedigree tracing in tail female line to blue hen Dancing Show, the dam of Hurricane Sky and Umatilla, and grand-dam of Redoute's Choice. 

A big, strong, quality colt with the temperament to match, he is very easy on the eye. We are excited to keep a look out for his future.

Lot 731 Colt Cosmic Force x Adorent, by Sebring

Another by Cosmic Force and this one from a sister to Group III winner Grat Honour and grand-daughter of US Group I winner Queens Court Queen.

This stunning colt has developed and matured into a very athletic, strong colt throughout the preparation. He has a lot of potential to prove himself.

Lot 776 Filly Capitalist x Heat Haze, by Fastnet Rock

Half-sister to smart winner Shaquila (3f Shalaa (IRE) a winner at Doomben since catalogue went to print. From one of Gooree’s best families featuring Northern Meteor, Smart Missile and current Group II winning mare Palaisipan.

She is a very impressive filly that has both looks and style, as well as being both athletic and compact. From a proven sire – Capitalist, she looks to be promising.

Lot 803 Filly Headwater x Lucky Kitten, by Lookin at Lucky (USA)

Half-sister to a winner from an unraced half-sister to Group II winner Champagne Harmony, the dam of stakes-winner Grace and Harmony. From the family of Group I winners St Reims, Champagne, Bonneval and Charmont.

This filly looks to be a real smart and attractive yearling. She has a fantastic attitude and has shown real ability throughout the preparation.  From another proven sire – Headwater, she shouldn’t be missed.

From the first crop of Everest winner Yes Yes Yes and is a half-sister to two winners from an unraced half-sister to Group I winners Joie de Grise and Arlington Road.

This is a beautiful filly with a lot of class, she is a great mover with the attitude to match. Taking everything in her stride, she is a real quality filly. There is no doubt she will be turning buyers’ heads.
