Archie Alexander stayer Lord Fandango has produced a strong staying performance to win the Group II Herbert Power Stakes (2400m) at Caulfield.

Lord Fandango ($12) beat English import Wall Of Fire ($9) by a length, with a further long neck back to Gallic Chieftain ($4.60) in third.

2nd	Wall Of Fire	Mark Zahra	He ran enormous from a (Melbourne) Cup point of view, he will be a great ride for somebody who can make the weight.
3rd	Gallic Chieftain	Dean Kendall	Every chance, what stuffed me early was when Harlow Gold came off the fence and I ended up getting shuffled back. I thought I had the winner on the corner.
4th	Boom Time	Cory Parish	Great run from my horse.
5th	Annus Mirablis	Luke Currie	He was really good late, just warming up the last bit.
6th	Fanatic	Beau Mertens	We wanted to be a bit closer but the speed was too good. He got through and he hit the line well. I think 3000m or more now would be better.
7th	Harlow Gold	Chris Parnham	Ran a nice even race, she just pulled a bit in the middle stages.
8th	Kidmenever	Glyn Schofield	As quickly as I went forward was as quickly as I went back.
9^th	Aloft	Ben Melham	He got his tongue over the bit.
10th	Foundry	Michael Dee	I didn't really have an excuse for him.
