Dean Harvey is presenting a lovely selection of young mares under his Baystone Farm banner at the Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale starting on Tuesday May 23.

The draft of 19 includes plenty of well performed young mares ready to mate to the stallion of your choice with highlights below:

Lot 541 Centro Storico (Snitzel) – Has not been to stud, she is a winning daughter of champion sire Snitzel and was fourth in the Listed ATC Fireball Stakes beaten a length and a half by subsequent Group I winner Mazu. From a top class European female family with third dam High Hawk a Group I winner and dam of Group I winning sire In The Wings.

Her yearling half-sister by Zoustar was bought by G Mulcaster / Chris Waller Racing for $300,000 at Inglis Easter.

 

Lot 564 Extremely Discreet (Exceed and Excel) – Has not been to stud, she is a winning three-quarter sister to stakes-placed Really Discreet from Group I SAJC Australasian Oaks winner Maybe Discreet. From prolific Black Type ‘Discreet’ family nurtured by South Australian breeder David Peacock.

Maybe Discreet has a rising two year-old by Too Darn Hot (GB) and is back in foal to him again.

 

Lot 605 Miss You Ella (USA) (Declaration of War) – Has not been to stud, she is a stakes-winner at Gulfstream Park and also third in Group III Gulfstream Sweetest Chant Stakes. Half-sister to stakes-winner Newstome from stakes-winner Double Cat and third dam is Champion US 3YO Filly Hollywood Wildcat, the dam of Group I winner and Group I sire War Chant (USA).

Mare with an outstanding international pedigree by Declaration of War, who has sired three Group I winners in Australia and she is a racing and breeding proposition. She had her first Australian start in the Group II SAJC Queen of the South Stakes and is in full work.  

 

Lot 640 Shebringzit (Sebring) – Has not been to stud, Group III placed three time winner and was fourth in the Group I SA South Australian Derby. Half-sister to this season’s Group II placed 2YO Bases Loaded from a half-sister to Group winners Silverstream, Speedy Natalie and stakes-winner Calanda.

Has had a significant pedigree update with Group II SAJC Queen of the South Stakes winner Caste popping into the family.

 

Lot 683 Certainlycan (Written Tycoon) – Unraced and offered as a racing and breeding proposition. This two year-old has won her last three jump outs and is nominated for the Listed Bill Carter Stakes at Doomben on Saturday. By champion sire from Group III placed Lucky Can Be, a half-sister to Group I winners Ofcourseican (dam of $1.7million earner Persan) and Gimmethegreenlight.

New to the family this season Group II placed filly Cinderella Days, who promises to be a Group winner in the future.

 

Lot 972 Lady D’Oro (Medaglia D’Oro) – In foal to champion sire Snitzel in her first season at stud. Four time metro winner of over $200,000 and is a half-sister to Group II placed Klammer with first three dams by outstanding sires More Than Ready (USA), Danzero and Marscay.

Lot 1056 Platinum Bullet (Shooting to Win) – In foal to champion sire Zoustar in her first season at stud. Six time metro winner and fourth in a Listed race, she is a half-sister to stakes-winner Night Raid and Group placed Mujallad from stakes-winner Raid.

Traces in tail female line to champion mare Emancipation via the Vanilla Sky branch of the family that has produced dual Group I winner Stratum Star and exciting young sire Prague.

 

Lot 1174 Tiempe Passate (I Am Invincible) – In foal to Russian Revolution in her first season at stud. Winning half-sister to Group II winner Ektifaa, whose past two yearlings by I Am Invincible have sold for $900,000 and $800,000.
