One to Watch – Nowra

Tara Madgwick - Sunday December 31
Fresh from giving us a budding stakes horse on Saturday in the shape of Care to Think, So You Think gave us the 'One to Watch' on the last day of the year with an eye-catching winner at Nowra.

So You ThinkIn the mounting yard before the 1200 metre maiden, Kathy O'Hara's mount You Make Me Smile looked a class above on looks and at the finishing post he also was a class above surging away to win by two and a half lengths as favourite.

The colt was having his first start for Jason Coyle, having had one other run for Brisbane trainer Steven O'Dea in November last year finishing midfield at Doomben.

Tuned up with two recent trials, You Make Smile was ready for this easy assignment albeit still quite soft in condition, so will take benefit from the run and is well worth following into tougher grades.

Retained to race by his Queensland based breeder Joe Rapisarda, You Make Me Smile is the first winner for Mr Rapisarda's former very smart stakes-winning mare Bianca Jewel, a half-sister to stakes-winner Kiss Me Katy.

You Make Me Smile had his owner and all the on course punters smiling after this win and there should be many more!
