German Oaks Contender for Reliable Man

Tara Madgwick - Monday June 10

Westbury Stud’s classy sire Reliable Man (Fr) featured on Sunday in Germany when blueblood staying filly Erle took out the Group III Diana Trial (2000m) at Hoppegarten in a thrilling finish.

A homebred for Gestüt Röttgen, trained by Maxim Pecheur Erle did best in a four way go to the line snatching a short head win, her second from just three starts.

Erle is a three-quarter sister-in-blood to Group III winning Reliable Man colt Erasmus, the Champion German 2YO Colt of 2017. She is the first winner for Kizingo, a winning half-sister to Erasmus and daughter of Group I Preis der Diana winner Enora.

This is a top class German female family packed with Black Type and Erle looks well placed to add to the family fortunes.

She is the 27th stakes-winner for Reliable Man, who stands at Westbury Stud this spring at a fee of $12,500 plus GST

Reliable Man (GB) is priced at $12,500 plus GST, test your mare with a Hypo mating.
