Kia Ora Appoint Allison Sedgwick as Head of Sales

Media Release - Monday July 8

Kia Ora has bolstered its dynamic team with the appointment of seasoned industry expert Allison Sedgwick as Head of Sales.

Allison’s arrival comes at an opportune time as Kia Ora gains momentum with its exciting young roster of stallions spearheaded by Champion 2YO Golden Slipper winner Farnan.

Allison Sedgwick will be a valuable addition at Kia Ora.

Allison has been a pivotal figure in the thoroughbred industry throughout her career. Her early years included completing agricultural college and the English National Stud program, which laid the foundation for her expansive skill set.

She also gained valuable experience through stints in Kentucky, South Africa, and France before returning to Australia. There, she spent 11 years at Darley, where she excelled in various roles, most recently in nomination sales.

"I am thrilled to join the Kia Ora team during such an exciting time for the farm," said Sedgwick.

"I look forward to working closely with our clients and being part of the promising future ahead with Kia Ora’s young roster of stallions and the stud’s impressive bloodstock portfolio."

Steve McCann, Chairman of Kia Ora Estates, has affirmed his dedication to securing the future advancement of the Kia Ora and Vinery partnership by making strategic moves to ensure its continued success.

“It is fantastic for us to be able to add someone with Allison’s experience, reputation and integrity to the team,” McCann said.

“Great people are the key to this industry and we think Allison not only brings capability but will also help mould the sort of culture and passion within Kia Ora and in our partnership with Vinery that will underpin our long-term success.”
