Heat 8 – Fillies – Icarian Dream (Blue Point (IRE) – 49.43 seconds

First trial winner of the morning for Ciaron Maher with Blue Point (IRE) filly Icarian Dream cruising up to the leader and hitting the line held together to win by three-quarters of a length.

Icarian Dream was a $300,000 MMM purchase from Sledmere Stud.

Icarian Dream was bought by Ciaron Maher Bloodstock for $310,000 as a weanling from Three Bridges Thoroughbreds at Magic Millions National and then went back through at the Gold Coast as a yearling when she made just $300,000 and was bought back by Ciaron Maher. She is the second foal of Teebo, a winning Stryker daughter of Group I winning sprinter Recurring.

Heat 7 – Colts -North England (Farnan) – 49.43 seconds

Kia Ora Stud’s Golden Slipper winning first season sire Farnan on the board in this heat with the Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott trained colt North England making every post a winner. He shot to the front and kept going to score the most visually impressive heat win with the margin of three lengths the biggest of the session.

North England was a $280,000 Inglis Classic purchase from Valiant Stud.
