Premier inspections begin at Oaklands today

Oaklands Junction is open for business ahead of the 2018 Melbourne Premier Yearling Sale, with yearling parades underway from this morning.

Progeny by more than 120 stallions – including 26 First Season Sires – will be offered throughout the four-day Premier sale, which has 770 horses catalogued for auction, 505 of which are Super VOBIS nominated and 339 BOBS eligible.

Inspections begin at 9am this morning with Swettenham Stud, Blandford Lodge, Windsor Park Stud, Cornerstone Stud, Henley Park, Maluka Thoroughbreds and Sunhill Bloodstock parading their drafts from 9am, while Glentree Thoroughbreds and Aquis Farm are open from midday.

The bulk of vendors begin parades from tomorrow, while all horses will be available for inspection from Wednesday morning.

The second of Inglis' Select Yearling Sales for the year will kick off at 12pm this Sunday, March 4, where 150 Lots will be offered on Day 1 including 43 in the popular Blue Riband session.

The Sale continues Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 11am.

This year's Premier catalogue presents an outstanding opportunity to secure the next generation of champion race horses, highlighted by the likes of siblings to Group 1 winners such as Happy Trails, Faint Perfume, Ortensia, Alinghi, Le Romain and Extreme Choice.
