$1,050,000 Home Affairs filly from Champagne Cuddles.

The third foal of brilliant Group II winning and multiple Group I placed Not a Single Doubt mare Champagne Cuddles, she was purchased by Gai Waterhouse & Adrian Bott Racing/Kestrel Thoroughbreds.

A daughter of Group I winner Sky Cuddle from a prolific Black Type family, Champagne Cuddles was purchased by Tom Magnier for $2million at the 2020 Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale and her first two foals, a three year-old gelding by Justify (USA) called French Empire (three starts and placed in all) and two year-old filly by Wootton Bassett (GB) sold for $700,000 and $800,000 at this sale in the past two years.

The Wootton Bassett filly named Bottles of Shells is owned by Strawberry Hill Stud having been purchased by John Singleton and is also trained by Waterhouse and Bott, although is yet to trial.

“We were fortunate to buy the half-relation last year by Wootton Bassett and she has shown us plenty of natural ability and this year I thought this filly looked a lot like her mother, a very sharp horse and a flashy horse,” said Adrian Bott.

“Just the type of horse you could see possibly getting back here next year.”

Champagne Cuddles had no foal in 2024 and was one of the mares sent to Kentucky by Coolmore to be covered by Justify to Southern Hemisphere time.
