Stellar night for Inglis Digital graduates on the Gold Coast

Media Release - Saturday January 18

In the space of just 30 minutes at Aquis Park on the Gold Coast, a pair of Inglis Digital purchases annexed $3,000,000 worth of feature races.

In the $1,000,000 Magic Millions Snippets over 1200m, the Tony Gollan trained 6YO Zarastro (I Am Invincible) produced a blistering display of sustained speed to see off 13 rivals by a decisive 2.3 length margin.

The winning time was a slick 1.08.29.

Purchased by Gollan for just $32,500 through the Inglis Digital October (Late) Online Sale in 2022, Zarastro, who races for a large group of stable clients, has since won 7 times, including a trio of Stakes races and picked up an incredible $1,199,500 in prizemoney.

“He’s been a fantastic horse since he joined the stable,” said Gollan post-race.

“I had a real sense he was starting to peak in this preparation.

“Tonight he got a track that was favourable and he’s obviously a high-quality sprinter. I was never worried that they were going to run him down.”

Bred by John and Deb Camilleri’s Fairway Thoroughbreds, Zarastro is a son of the Zabeel mare Adrift, who was purchased on behalf of the renowned breeders by Belmont Bloodstock for $700,000 at the 2020 Inglis Chairman’s Sale.

In the very next race, the $2,000,000 Magic Millions Cup over 1400m, it was the turn of 5YO gelding West Of Africa (Not A Single Doubt).

The OTI Racing colour-bearer achieved the same result as Zarastro, but did so in a very contrasting style, coming from near last, rounding the field and bounding down the outside of the track to win by almost a length.

The Annabel Neasham & Rob Archibald trainee was winning for the fourth time since he was purchased through the Inglis Digital August (Early) Online Sale in 2023 for $145,000, in which time he has earned $1,306,000 for connections.

The win in the Restricted Listed contest was also his first Stakes win from 20 starts.

“He’s just got a fantastic turn of foot and it was an ice-cool ride by Tyler,” said an understandably delighted Neasham post-race.

“Big credit to OTI, they put their trust in me when I said he was online and I said ‘lets buy him, I want to keep him in the stable’, I’m just so happy for all the owners.”

The success of Zarastro and West Of Africa early in 2025 comes on the back of an incredible year for Inglis Digital in 2024, which saw graduates win 1 in 5 races run in Australia and earn in excess of $67,000,000 in prizemoney.

Bidding for the Inglis Digital January (Late) Online Sale, which includes 519 lots, of which 311 are racehorses, is now open.
