Debut 2YO Winner Zoustar- Brother for Inglis Easter

Tara Madgwick - Sunday February 16

Astute trainer Michael Freedman looked for an easy option for well bred Zoustar colt Frostfire on debut and he duly kicked off with a maiden win at Newcastle on Saturday over 900m.

He finished hard between runners to score a narrow victory.

Frostfire was a $400,000 Magic Millions yearling purchase.

A $400,000 Magic Millions purchase from Widden Stud for Vinery Stud, Frostfire is a a half-brother to Group II winner Tenley and Group III winner Biscayne Bay and is the third winner from well bred winning Lonhro mare Fratianne, a grand-daughter of dual Group I winner Skating, the grand-dam of Group I ATC Golden Slipper winner and Champion 2YO Colt Vancouver.

Widden Stud will offer another Zoustar yearling colt from Fratianne at Inglis Easter as Lot 383.

Fratianne produced a filly by Zoustar last spring and is back in foal to him again.
