Trained by Peter Snowden, Flying Thinker produced another tenacious effort to kick on and hold her rivals at bay winning the Benchmark 72 event over 1400m by the best part of a length taking her overall record to four wins from eight starts with prizemoney topping $136,000.

“She’s very genuine and deserved this win. It’s the first time I’ve backed her up and she handled it really well,” said Peter Snowden.

“She’s a good tough mare and she will get further in time as well.”

Not offered at auction, Flying Thinker is the best of three winners from Hela Flyer, w winning Lonhro grand-daughter of Show Dancing, the dam of Group I winning sire Al Maher and daughter of blue hen Dancing Show (USA), the dam of Group I winners Umatilla, Hurricane Sky and revered producer Shantha’s Choice.

The Michael Mehegan trained three year-old filly Bossy Benita broke through for an impressive three and a half length win in the 1300m maiden after placing at her two previous starts.

“She’s a really nice filly and still learning what she is doing as it is only her second prep, but there will be a lot more to come from today,” said winning rider Craig Williams.

“There’s a lot to like about what she did as she’s still very much a raw product.”

An $85,000 Inglis Premier purchase for  MJM Racing & Bloodstock Pty Ltd from the Springmount draft, Bossy Benita is the first winner for unraced Fastnet Rock mare Bossy Woman, a grand-daughter of Champion South African Filly Tracy’s Element, the dam of Australian Horse of the Year Typhoon Tracy.

So You Think has big representation at upcoming sales with 15 for Inglis Premier and 33 for Inglis Easter.
