Darley Announce Too Darn Hot Returning to Australia in 2025

Media Release - Tuesday April 8

Great news for Aussie breeders with Darley Australia excited to announce the return of Too Darn Hot (GB) for the 2025 breeding season.

One of the most promising young sires in both hemispheres, Too Darn Hot has already left a huge impression on the Australian racing and breeding landscape and his return to Australia promises to further elevate his influence.

Too Darn Hot (GB) is back in 2025 at a fee of $275,000.

Too Darn Hot set a new benchmark with the most successful start at stud this century, outpacing Australia’s most iconic stallions. He has sired the winners of more Group races than Redoute’s Choice, Fastnet Rock, I Am Invincible and Zoustar at the same stage of their careers.

He was Champion first-season sire and finished runner-up on the leading Australian two-year-old sires list in 2023/24. His first crop saw him set an earnings record for any first-season sire in history. This outstanding debut crop also produced Champion two-year-old Broadsiding, who has gone on to become a four-time G1 winner. With 10 individual Stakes winners so far this season he is leading the three-year-old sires table by Stakes winners.

"Too Darn Hot is exceptional," said Andy Makiv, Managing Director of Godolphin Australia.  "What he’s achieved at this stage in his career is honestly remarkable. He’s producing top-line Stakes performers, and his record-breaking feats speak for themselves.
