Widden Sell Million Dollar Pair of Mares

In a market dominated by off the track fillies and race mares at the Inglis Chairman’s Sale, proven producer Enbihaar proved a hot and timely item and was duly snapped up for $1.6 million in foal to champion sire Zoustar.

Enbihaar sold for $1.6million in foal to Zoustar.

A Group II winner by Magnus, Enbihaar is the dam of Group II winning three year-old filly Too Darn Lizzie, who sold for $2.4million earlier in the night and her weanling colt by Too Darn Hot (GB) topped the Inglis Weanling Sale on Tuesday when fetching $775,000 for Widden Stud.

Enbihaar was bought by Yulong purchasing as Z Zhijun, HEBEI PROVINCE CHINA and they were also the purchaser for Widden Stud’s other million dollar offering Grinzinger Belle (NZ), who sold for $1.45million.

Trained by Danny O’Brien, Grinzinger Belle is a multiple Group winner of over $800,000 in prizemoney by Shamexpress, the sire of the world’s best sprinter Ka Ying Rising.

Grinzinger Belle was a modest $32,000 Karaka Book 2 purchase from the Windsor Park draft for her owner John Wheeler and has proven a fabulous investment.
