One To Watch - Eagle Farm

Dane Squance - Wednesday July 23

With the recent announcement that Yes Yes Yes will stand at Gooree Park Stud this spring, the Everest hero has had a steady flow of winners with today’s Eagle Farm success story being a half-brother to Group 1 winner Uncommon James.

Resuming for his second race campaign, the Matthew Hoysted-trained 3yo gelding Yoyo Yeezy started favourite and after a handy jump from the barriers, pulled himself to the lead.

Giving nothing else a chance in the run, jockey Damien Thornton gave Yoyo Yeezy a little more rein as they rounded the final bend where the gelding slipped into another gear, pulling away from runner up Cryptic Beauty to score by a little over three lengths.

A half-brother to stablemate Uncommon James (Cable Bay), a winner of the Group 1 Oakeleigh Plate and over $1.5m in earnings, Yoyo Yeezy may never reach the heights of her half-brother, but with natural improvement, she looks to have black type potential.

Bred and raced by Lavin Park Racing and Breeding, Yoyo Yeezy is the third winner from three to the races for the stakes placed Jetspur mare Pickabee, herself a sister to the Listed winner Emmalene who is in turn the dam of the dual Listed-winning Capitalist gelding King Kapa.

Unfortunately, Pickabee passed away in February 2023 with her final foal being a filly by Arrowfield Stud’s Dundeel.

Yes Yes Yes Will Stand His First Season At Gooree Park Stud For $16,500

The sire of 42 Australian winners this season including the Group 1 Australian Derby runner-up Final Agreement, Yes Yes Yes will stand at Gooree Park Stud in the spring for a fee of $16,500 (inc. GST).
