First Foals for Lofty Strike

Tara Madgwick - Tuesday September 2

One of the most interesting young stallions that we saw on the recent Victorian stud tour was at Swettenham Stud and it has not taken long for the big baldy face of Lofty Strike to find it’s way on to one of his first foals.

By champion sire Snitzel from Golden Slipper winner Overreach, Lofty Strike made a good impression on breeders last spring and covered 115 mares at a fee of $22,000.

The Lofty Group enjoyed the success of Lofty Strike on the track in a career that produced three brilliant wins and two second placings in the Group I VRC Newmarket Handicap and MRC Oakleigh Plate.
