Beiwacht upstaged his more fancied rivals to win the $1million Group I ATC Golden Rose last Saturday in course record breaking style to become the hottest colt in Australia giving us the opportunity to chat to a legend that has been very much involved in his story so far.

Champion jockey Darren Beadman was a part of the Godolphin team throughout the time of Bivouac and his now Group I winning son Beiwacht and when the colt was switched to the stable of Chris Waller at the end of last season, Beadman followed suit.

We’re talking about the rise of Beiwacht, the current stars of racing, Everest possibles and why women jockeys will eventually take over from the men.
