One to Watch – Gosford

Tara Madgwick - Tuesday November 11

By champion sire I Am Invincible from a Group I winning sprinter, this talented filly cast off maiden status at Gosford on Tuesday in the manner of a filly that will be winning better races.

Trained by Bjorn Baker and ridden by Jason Collett, Jarrito had one run in June for a third in a midweek maiden and was having her first run back from a spell in the 1100m maiden.

With two recent trials wins to have her sharp and ready to go, Jarrito was the top choice for punters and looked a class above as she duly cruised clear to win by more than a length held together.

Retained to race by her breeders Cressfield and Robrick Lodge, Jarrito is the third winner from three foals to race from Group I SAJC Robert Sangster Stakes winner Spright, who is by the former Yarraman Park based sire Hinchinbrook.

Spright has an unnamed two year-old colt by I Am Invincible and has foaled this spring producing a filly by Wootton Bassett (GB).

I Am Invincible has sired more SW's this season than any other sire!

Jarrito is a new winner for I Am Invincible, who has sired more stakes-winners this season in Australia than any other sire with six on the board highlighted by Group I winner Charm Stone.

I Am Invincible has 40 yearlings for Magic Millions 2026.
