Yarraman-bred and -raced filly Sylph will carry the green and white of Yulong in the $3 million Magic Millions Sunlight on Saturday, 10 January. She will swap her familiar yellow and black silks as part of a slot deal struck on the eve of the 2026 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale. Melbourne Cup-winning rider Jamie Melham has been engaged to partner the filly.

By I Am Invincible and out of the G1-producing mare Noondie, the lightly raced three-year-old arrives in top order. She has been Stakes-placed at her past two starts in Queensland, both narrow defeats, and now boasts four placings from six starts, including two at black-type level in December.
Trainer Michael Freedman is pleased with her progress. “She’s in great order and will have a gallop on Tuesday morning,” he said. “She’s in great form and we expect her to be very competitive.”
Yarraman’s Harry Mitchell welcomed the partnership, adding: “We’re delighted to partner with Yulong. She’s a dual Stakes-placed Vinnie filly bred by Yarraman and raced in partnership, and it’s exciting to see her get this opportunity.”

Sylph’s recent black-type form has provided a timely pedigree boost for her full brother, who will be offered by Yarraman Park Stud as Lot 617 at the 2026 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale on Thursday, 15 January.
