Three in a Row for Gavelhouse Graduate Cunning Moves

Media Release - Monday June 11

Darwin-based trainer Carl Spry celebrated his third win in a row with $10,000 gavelhouse purchase Cunning Moves taking his earnings for his new connections to $46,675.

Cunning MovesSpry, who has also ridden the son of Foxwedge to victory in all three starts, attributes his great run of form to him acclimatising to the Northern Territory conditions exceptionally well.

Another gavelhouse.com graduate to grace the winners' circle over the weekend was Hard Ruler.

Having finished runner up in her first start for new owners Serene Lodge, she went one better at the Sunshine Coast on Sunday.

Trained at Eagle Farm by Chris Munce, the daughter of All Too Hard was bought for $18,500 in April and is well on her way to returning that with $13,600 in prize-money.

Munce was over the moon with the result "She has done terrific since being up at Eagle Farm and has reallyblossomed."

"She had a mini freshen when she arrived and has been bucking her brands off since."

"Her new owners are thrilled with the results so far and we will give her one more run before heading to the Grafton Guineas."

Entries for the next gavelhouse.com Australia auction close at mid-day on Tuesday 12 June with the catalogue set to go live at 5pm on the same day. Bidding will close on the auction starting with Lot 1 at 7pm AEST on Monday 18 June.
