Hot Lots Day 2 - Magic Millions

With the opening day of selling at Magic Millions finished for the day, Frankel (GB) hit the heights, topping the sale with a $2m colt, while I Am Invincible took top honours on averages, 3 or more sold.

With second season sires Stay Inside and Home Affairs leading the way on Wednesday with 12 and 11 lots respectively, it will be interesting to see how their progeny perform in the ring.

Some possible key highlight lots for Wednesday include:

Lot 212: Snitzel x Delta Queen filly – Arrowfield Stud

Snitzel filly, first foal of the G3-winning South African mare Delta Queen, a sister to G1 winner Rivarine from the family of Champion Pocket Power. Bred on the same Redoute’s Choice x Var pedigree cross that has produced four G1 winners including Autumn Glow and In The Congo.

Lot 214: Extreme Choice x Deroche filly – Newgate Farm

Daughter of Extreme Choice, the second foal of the G3 Vamos Stakes winner Deroche. Bred on the Extreme Choice x Encosta de Lago pedigree cross of two winners from three runners led by G3 placed Extreme Threat.

Lot 226: Zoustar x Dorothy Of Oz filly – Evergreen Stud

A grand-daughter of Champion 3YO Filly and multiple G1 winner Princess Coup, the well-related Zoustar filly is the third foal out of a Redoute’s Choice sister to Champion HK Griffin Thewizardofoz and a half-sister to Frankel’s dual G3 winner Argentia.

Lot 239: Anamoe x Eawase filly – Lime Country Thoroughbreds

Filly from the first crop of nine-time G1 winner Anamoe, this filly is out of the Sebring mare winner Eawase, a stakes-winning daughter of Magic Millions 2YO Classic and G3 winner Kurata Queen. Mares by Sebring have produced G1 winners Well Written, Griff and On The Bubbles.

Lot 250: I Am Invincible x Eloping colt – Segenhoe Stud

Full-brother to Champion 3YO Filly and dual G1 winner In Secret, a winner of $5.2m, the bay colt is out of the dual G3-winning Choisir mare Eloping, a three-quarter-sister to G3 winner Of The Brave.

Lot 252: Snitzel x Embrace Me colt – Milburn Creek

Flashy looking chestnut colt by Snitzel, second foal of the speedy G3 Typhoon Tracy Stakes-winning Shamexpress mare Embrace Me.

Lot 287: I Am Invincible x Flippant colt – Yarraman Park Stud

First colt out of the G3-wining Hinchinbrook mare Flippant, a three-quarter-sister to the G1 ATC Galaxy winner I Am Excited. The son of I Am Invincible is from the family of G1 winner Commanding Jewel, Champion 3YO Filly Atlantic Jewel and her G1-winning, Champion son Russian Emperor.

Lot 300: Stay Inside x Freehearted colt – Widden Stud

From the second crop of promising young sire Stay Inside, the colt is the second living foal of the seven-time-winning Dylan Thomas mare and comes from the speed family of stakes winners Villa Verde, My Gladiola, Doubtland, Pretty Fast and Bellazaine.

Lot 323: Anamoe x Goddess filly – Segenhoe Stud

Second foal, a filly by Horse of the Year Anaome (Street Boss), out of a Fastnet Rock half-sister to G1 winner Manuel and the G3-winning, G1 placed pair of Sun Patch – Computer Patch (HK) and Taking Aim. Fastnet Rock broodmare sire of 17 G1 winners!

Lot 345: Extreme Choice x Hazlebrook colt – Kingstar Farm

A full-brother to the G3 winner Wollombi, the colt by Extreme Choice is the out of the winning Hinchinbrook half-sister Listed winner Everage. Extreme Choice x Hinchinbrook pedigree cross has 100% winners to runners.

Lot 372: Snitzel x Iffranesia colt – Arrowfield Stud

Full-brother to the eight plus length G3 Ken Russell Memorial Classic winner Beadman, the son of Snitzel is the out of the imported, Listed-winning French mare Iffranesia. Mares by Iffraaj have produced 48 stakes winners which includes 14-time G1 winner Melody Belle, who is bred on a very similar cross.

Lot 383: Alabama Express x Inspirational Girl filly – Yulong

Lot 422: Anamoe x Kiki Express filly – Newgate Farm

First the first crop of Darley’s nine-time G1 winner Anamoe, whose yearlings sold up to $525,000 on day one of the sale, the filly is the first foal of the Listed-winning Sepoy mare Kiki Express, herself a daughter of the Listed-winning Redoute’s Choice mare Maloose.

Lot 429: Snitzel x Krone colt – Rosemont Stud

Second foal of the G1 Coolmore Classic winner Krone from the family of G1 winners Universal Prince, Universal Queen and Think It Over. Bred on the double Danehill pedigree cross which has produced 41 stakes winners headed by five G1 winners including Farnan, Lady Shenandoah and Sword Of State.
