Zip Lock Half-Brother a Classic Standout for Yarraman

The Yarraman Park sires have been flying high this season with father and son duo I Am Invincible and Hellbent accounting for 11 Aussie stakes-winners between them since August 1 and for Brave Smash (Jpn) things are about to get interesting!

Brave Smash joined the Yarraman roster in 2023 after starting his stud career at Aquis, so his first Yarraman conceived yearlings are being offered this year.

Brave Smash (Jpn) is a G1 sire with more to come..

This new generation are making their mark with a benchmark result at Magic Millions where Yarraman Park sold a Brave Smash colt from Tetsuko for $380,000 to George Moore Bloodstock to be his highest priced yearling ever.

Already the sire of Group I winner Kimochi and three more stakes-winners, Brave Smash has also made a favourable impression in Hong Kong where he has had three winners from just four starters.

Lot 69 - the half-brother by Brave Smash (Jpn) to G3 winning colt Zip Lock.

Yarraman have three by Brave Smash in their Inglis Classic draft and they include Lot 69, a colt from Honoulu Lass, who comes into this sale with a massive pedigree update.

He is the fifth and final foal from Honoulu Lass, whose four previous are all winners and her two year-old is top class colt Zip Lock, who has won two of three starts including the Group III BRC BJ McLachlan Stakes.

Zip Lock won the G3 BJ McLachlan Stakes.

Bought by Munce Racing/Arthur Hoyeau from the Yarraman draft at Magic Millions for $160,000, Zip Lock has already won over $250,000 and looks set for a bright career.

There is only one filly in this entire sale by champion sire I Am Invincible and you will find her in the Yarraman draft.

Lot 752 Filly I Am Invincible x Dendee, by Denman

Full sister to stakes-placed Embassy and is from stakes-winner Dendee, a half-sister t the dam of stakes-winner Bonjoy from the family of Group I winner Montoya’s Secret. Bred on similar I Am Invincible x Lonhro (sire of Denman) cross as four other SW’s headed by G2 winner Estriella.

Full sister to metro winner Duchess of Sussex and is fourth foal from stakes-placed Raging Queen, a daughter of stakes-placed Royal Bender.

Lot 421 Colt Too Darn Hot (GB) x Shinta Mani, by Viscount

By a young stallion in Too Darn Hot that has dominated his peers, first, second and now third season stamping himself as a genuine supersire. Half-brother to two winners including metro winner Manavendra and is fourth foal of stakes-winner Shinta Mani.

Lot 508 Colt Brave Smash (Jpn) x The Natural, by Fastnet Rock

Half-brother to metro winner Wootton Lass and is third foal of metro winning half-sister to dual Group I winner Fiveandahalfstar and full sister to the dam of Group I ATC Spring Champion Stakes El Castello.

Lot 779 Filly Pinatubo (IRE) x Ella Listo, by More than Ready (USA)

Half-sister to metro winner El Salto and is from a half-sister to G1 VRC Oaks winner Pinot and G3 winner Dizlago from G1 ATC Australian Oaks winner Dizelle, a full sister to HK Horse of the Year Vengeance of Rain. Third dam is G1 Blue Diamond winner Danelagh, so this is a filly with a serious pedigree!
