Vale, Miss Finland

Tara Madgwick - Friday February 13

Arrowfield Stud have produced countless champions, but Miss Finland holds a special place in their history as a Golden Slipper and VRC Oaks winner.

Arrowfield Tweeted - Our beloved superstar Miss Finland (Redoute’s Choice-Forest Pearl) died peacefully this morning at the age of 22, leaving us with the shining memories of her exceptional racing career as a Champion 2YO, Champion 3YO Filly & 5-time Group 1 winner and gratitude for her legacy, headed by her G1-winning & stakes-producing daughter Stay With Me.

By the great Arrowfield champion sire Redoute's Choice, Miss Finland was retired from stud duties in 2024 and her final foal is an unraced three year-old filly by Dundeel called Martha’s Choice.

A grand-daughter of Group I Epsom Oaks winner Moonshell, Miss Finland had 12 foals in total, nine of which have raced and seven of them won.

Her best performer was Group I MRC Thousand Guineas winner Stay With Me as her only stakes-winner, although she had three more stakes-placed horses in Earth Angel, Bucharest and ill-fated Miracle of Love.

With four of her daughters still active in the Arrowfield broodmare band the legacy of Miss Finland will continue to shine.
