Big Names Return for Caulfield Heath Trials

Media Release - Tuesday February 24

Four Group 1 winners are set to trial at Caulfield Heath on Wednesday morning as they build towards upcoming top-level targets.

Jigsaw, fresh off his win in last month’s Group 1 Railway Stakes (1200m) at Ellerslie in New Zealand, will contest the opening trial over 800 metres alongside fellow Group 1 winners Magic Time and Reserve Bank.

Capitalist stallion Reserve Bank is a fascinating runner for the Price Kent stable as he has been off the scene since winning the Group I SAJC Goodwood Handicap last May. The four year-old struck a real purple patch at the end of his last preparation winning three stakes races in succession, so there will be  plenty of interest to see if he can pick up where he left off.

Magic Time will use this week’s trial as a launching pad for a first up attempt in next month’s Group 1 William Reid Stakes (1200m) on March 20 at Caulfield.

Other stakes performers set to trial include King Zephyr, Ferivia, Desert Hero, Augustus, After Summer, Whisky On The Hill, Basilinna and She’s A Hustler.
