South African Stakes-Winner for Foxwedge

Foxwedge featured in South Africa on the weekend when his progressive Aussie bred three year-old son Infamous Fox won the Listed Greyville Convention Centre Handicap.

Infamous Fox as a yearlingTrained by Candice Dawson, he raced away to win the 1600 metre contest by two lengths beating older rivals with ease.

A $25,000 Magic Millions purchase f or Central Route Trading from the Glastonbury Farm draft, Infamous Fox has put together a tidy record winning four of 10 starts with two further placings.

The ninth stakes-winner for Foxwedge, he is the best of two winners from French, an unraced Nadeem half-sister to Group III winner Typhoon Billie.

Foxwedge stands at Newgate Farm this spring at a fee of $22,000.


He has been making news of late having just sired his third Group I winner with a Group I success in the Pretty Polly Stakes at The Curragh for Urban Fox.
