100 for Star Witness

Tara Madgwick - Friday July 27
Star Witness became the third Widden Stud based sire to crack 100 winners this season following in the footsteps of Sebring and Nicconi when his lightly raced daughter Enjoy the Stars saluted at Canberra on Friday for the Nick Olive stable.

Star WitnessHaving her second race start in the 1080 metre maiden following a debut second at Wagga earlier this month, Enjoy the Stars was a firm favourite with punters.

She cruised home to win by more than two lengths in a dominant display.

Retained to race by her breeders, Enjoy the Stars is the first winner from unraced Langfuhr (Can) mare Enjoy the Days.

With a century of winners and more than $5.6 million in seasonal prizemoney, Star Witness has had a tremendous season with six stakes-winners - Global Glamour, Crown Witness, Fuhryk, Stellar Collision, Our Crown Mistress and Magic Alibi!

A Champion Two and Three Year Old, Star Witness is now an established Group I sire and stands at a fee of $33,000 this spring.
