Smart Winner for Torryburn

Twin Hills Stud's Smart Missile finished last season with all guns blazing and has powered through August in similar form racking up his 25th winner of the month at Goulburn on Friday with a stylish debut victory for Torryburn Stud homebred The Soloist.

Smart MissilePrepared by Richard Freedman and ridden by Kayla Nisbet, The Soloist was favourite for the 1200 metre maiden and forged clear to win by three-quarters of a length.

The Soloist is a half-sister to Group III winner Siren's Fury and classy six time winning HK sprinter Hot King Prawn being the fifth winner from good producer De Chorus.

De Chorus has a yearling filly by The Factor (USA) and was covered last spring by Golden Slipper winner Capitalist. Her two year-old colt by Your Song has been retained by Torryburn and named Deauville with Peter and Paul Snowden to train.

A proven son of champion sire Fastnet Rock, Smart Missile is running second on the leading Australian Sires List by winners for this season behind only I Am Invincible. He stands at Twin Hills at a fee of $13,200.
