45th Stakes-Winner for Artie Schiller

Back in Victoria at Stockwell Thoroughbreds this spring, Artie Schiller (USA) added a new stakes-winner to his tally on Wednesday when Reykjavik took out the $120,000 Listed Hannans Handicap at Kalgoorlie.

Artie SchillerThe Lindsey Smith trained four year-old gelding has been super consistent of late and scored a well deserved three-quarter length win in the 1400 metre sprint as favourite.

With four wins and 12 placings from 25 starts, Reykjavik has won over $290,000 in prizemoney.

Not offered at auction, he is the best of two winners from Gibraltar Storm, who comes from the family of Group I New Zealand Derby winner Rangipo.

A top class Group I sire that has left the likes of Champion 3YO Flying Artie, Artie Schiller stands at a fee of $13,200.
