Invincible Winner for Bridge

Tara Madgwick - Friday November 16
Astute Randwick trainer Les Bridge is never without a good horse and produced a smart maiden winner at Canterbury on Friday night by leading sire I Am Invincible.

Secret Legend as a yearlingThree year-old gelding Secret Legend finished third and fourth at his first two starts behind highly rated bluebloods Brazilica (3f Redoute's Choice x Brazilian Pulse) and Nordicus (3c Dundeel x Miss Finland) so always looked a great chance on paper to break his maiden over 1550 metres at start three.

Rated perfectly in front by Kerrin McEvoy, Secret Legend controlled the race and powered clear to win by a couple of lengths.

Secret Legend was a $240,000 Inglis Classic purchase from the Yarraman Park draft for Carmel Size, who was on hand to greet him as he returned to scale.

Size purchases and manages the horses raced by Hong Kong businessman Mr Ho.

"He's a lovely horse and very progressive," said Carmel Size.

"I've loved him ever since I bought him. He's had no luck at all at his first two starts, but I was confident today.

"I'd like to thank Mr Ho for putting his faith in me and allowing me to buy such beautiful horses."

Bred by Yarraman Stud in partnership, Secret Legend is the third winner from Group II placed Ambers Waltz, a half-sister by Danehill Dancer (IRE) to Group III winner Taiyoo from Group III winner Smbers Halo.

Ambers Waltz has a yearling colt by Written Tycoon and has foaled this spring producing a colt by Hinchinbrook.
