Early betting picture for the 2017 Vain Stakes

Kobayashi has drawn the outside gate but bookies have him near the top of the early betting on Saturday's Group III Vain Stakes (1200m) at Caulfield.

Kobayashi notched two exciting wins at Caulfield in the autumn and is at either $5 or $5.50 to continue his winning run first-up in the Vain Stakes.

Unbeaten three-year-old Jukebox is shading Kobayashi at most agencies where he is trading at either $4.80 or $5 to score at his first appearance since February.

The Darren Weir-trained Cliff's Edge is at either $8.50 or $9 while Godolphin's runner Veranillo is has opened at prices ranging from $7 to $9.
