A homebred for Julia Ritchie’s Bangaloe Stud Syndicate, flashy High Chaparral (IRE) filly Making Whoopee has been given plenty of time to mature and until today had raced just once for a second at Wyong back in March.
The three year-old was tuned up with a recent trial win and went to the post favourite for the 1100 metre maiden.
She jumped quickly for Nash Rawiller and took up the lead, coasting along in front before dashing clear down the running to win by a length and a half.

er by the end of the spring,” Cummings said.Making Whoopee is the first foal from unplaced Fastnet Rock mare Honeymoon Cruise, a three-quarter sister to outstanding Hong Kong trained sprinter Mr Stunning, winner of the Group I HK International Sprint twice.
Honeymoon Cruise has a weanling filly by Air Force Blue (USA) and is in foal to High Chaparral’s champion son So You Think, so will produce a three-quarter sibling to Making Whoopee this spring.
