The ironically named Jailbreak was having his sixth start, and second as a
gelding, when breaking through convincingly at Goulburn as the short-priced favourite.He was the most expensive yearling by his sire in 2018 when offered by Segenhoe Stud and making $470,000 to the bid of Damion Flower's Jadesky Racing and Brad Widdup, who trains the three-year-old.
Flower is currently firmly ensconced in jail in fact, awaiting trial on drugs charges.
Jailbreak is out of Our Songbird, a Fastnet Rock half-sister to stakes winners Debonairly and Corsaire, from the family of German champion Catella.
Her yearling by Dissident this year made $300,000 at Magic Millions Gold Coast and she returned to Rubick last season.
