Warm Reception for Aquis Victorian Stallion Parade

Media Release - Monday August 19

While the weather may not have been ideal, the reception for our first Seymour stallion parade was extremely warm from local breeders and clients who braved the conditions as Lean Mean Machine and Siege Of Quebec paraded.

Lean Mean MachineWith over 300 attendees, Bruce Clark and Murray Tillett, Aquis' Operations Manager – Victoria, spoke of the outstanding racetrack performances of both Lean Mean Machine and Siege Of Quebec, highlighting their credentials which will see the pair progress from top class racehorses to stallions of the highest calibre in the years to come.

"We've made a commitment to the Victorian industry and if the support we experienced by those who attended the parade is anything to go by, then our decision to set up our local farm at Seymour is clearly the right one," stated Aquis CEO Shane McGrath.

"One of our key principles is to support people who support us, whether it's breeders, share-holders or anyone else. This is part of a long-term plan and a commitment to the Victorian industry.

Siege of Quebec"We've carefully selected two outstanding stallion prospects which we felt would suit the local industry and we've been overwhelmed by the support that both Lean Mean Machine and Siege Of Quebec have received heading into the commencement of the covering season.

"As a son of Zoustar, and also a great-grandson of Champion Sire Encosta De Lago, both of whom have spent part of their stud careers in Victoria, Lean Mean Machine has appealed from the day he was announced, while Siege Of Quebec, who finished his career with an excellent third in the Gr.1 All Aged Stakes is a stunningly conformed individual and once breeders have inspected him, they're suitably impressed.

"While the weather was far from ideal, we were very humbled to see so many people attend the parade today, and also stay around afterwards to enjoy the friendly hospitality on offer."
