Newgate Offer First Season Sire Bonus Incentive

Media Release - Tuesday December 3

Newgate Farm will again offer a substantial cash incentive for buyers at all 2020 Magic Millions and Inglis Yearling Sale Series sales that purchase a horse by our exciting first crop sires Capitalist, Extreme Choice, Flying Artie and Winning Rupert.

Capitalist“We would love nothing better than to reward a lucky buyer for supporting our young sires in the sale ring next year and they will have ample opportunity with big representation by all of our young guns at the major sales,” said Henry Field.

Newgate Farm will pay a $250,000 bonus to the recorded buyer as listed in the official Magic Millions and Inglis sales results for ALL of their yearling sales (not online) for any two year-old by Capitalist, Extreme Choice, Flying Artie or Winning Rupert that can win the 2021 Magic Millions 2YO Classic or 2021 Inglis Millennium Race.

“All four stallions were outstanding juveniles and have thrown some sensational yearlings so we believe buyers will have an excellent chance to collect on our bonus in 2021 and we will be cheering them on,” Field added.

Extreme ChoiceCapitalist (Written Tycoon) won the Group III ATC Breeders Plate on debut in October and then the 2016 Magic Millions 2YO Classic before going on to win the Golden Slipper and claim the title of Champion 2YO.

He comes from the family of another Golden Slipper winner in Merlene so is expected to produce fast, precocious youngsters and with 45 entries at Magic Millions is the most represented first season sire at that sale. Capitalist also has 28 entries for Inglis Classic

Extreme Choice (Not a Single Doubt) won the $500,000 Inglis Nursery on debut in December and won the Group I MRC Blue Diamond Stakes at his third start.

He confirmed his brilliance with an exciting win as a spring three year-old in the Group I MVRC Moir Stakes, retiring with four wins from eight starts and $1.7million. Extreme Choice has 16 entries for Magic Millions and 10 for Inglis Classic.

Flying ArtieFlying Artie (Artie Schiller (USA) was second on debut in the Group III VRC Maribyrnong Plate in November and placed in both the Blue Diamond and Golden Slipper behind Extreme Choice and Capitalist.

At three, he proved their superior winning the Group I VRC Coolmore Stud Stakes to be Champion 3YO Sprinter. Flying Artie has 21 entries for Magic Millions and 20 for Inglis Classic.

Winning RupertWinning Rupert (Written Tycoon) was an undefeated stakes-winning juvenile that showed freakish speed at three to post two track records at Eagle Farm for 1200 and 1300m before retiring due to injury with five wins from six starts.

A horse whose true potential was untapped, Winning Rupert has 18 entries for Magic Millions and 22 for Inglis Classic.
