A proven source of Group I stakes performers, the Cornish family owned Torryburn Stud will present another great draft at the 2020 Magic Millions Yearling Sale including colts by champion sires Snitzel, I Am invincible and Written Tycoon.

Torryburn Stud has a long list of successful graduates, either bred, sold or raised on their picturesque farm that include Group I winners Dixie Blossoms,  El Dorado Dreaming, Terravista, Group II winning course record holder Deploy, Group III winner Siren’s Fury as well as top class Hong Kong based sprinter Hot King Prawn and Ready to Prophet, a two time stakes-winner in 2019.

Lot 3 Filly Written Tycoon x Unreal Deal, by Redoute’s Choice

The Written Tycoon x Redoute’s Choice is a nick on an upswing and is a modern extension of the old Redoute’s Choice x Last Tycoon nick which was and is super successful.

Written Tycoon x Redoute’s Choice in a non-grid-based report comes in at 71% winners to runners and 10.5% stakes-winners to runners with Group I winner La Luna Rossa the best. Interestingly the direct cross of Written Tycoon over mares by Redoute’s Choice has delivered 16 winners from 16 runners with Group III winner Teleplay the best.

Add to that the fact this filly comes from an outstanding Black Type family producing G1 winners Grand Armee, Dealer Principal and Yourdeel and you can see why she’s going to appeal to a lot of people.

Lot 175 Filly No Nay Never (USA) x Chelsea Hotel (USA), by Dylan Thomas

With his oldest Northern Hemisphere bred progeny about to turn four, No Nay Never has established himself as a leading young sire with 20 stakes-winners and an 11.4% stakes-winner to runner strike rate.

He is particularly successful with mares carrying Danehill blood as is this yearling, with six of his stakes-winners bred this way including his G1 winner Ten Sovereigns, the nick working at 15.3% stakes-winners to runners.

This filly is a half-sister to a winner and comes from a big US Black Type family.

Lot 214 Filly Extreme Choice x Dahooil (NZ), by O’Reilly (NZ)

From the first crop of Not a Single Doubt’s brilliant dual Group I winner Extreme Choice, winner of the MRC Blue Diamond at two and the MVRC Moir Stakes against older sprinters at three.

First foal of a metro winning full sister to stakes-winner Bonny O’Reilly from the family of G1 winners Vision and Power, Glamour Puss and Steps in Time,

Lot 540 Colt I Am Invincible x Miss Interiors, by Flying Spur

Second foal of a winning half-sister to dual G1 winner and promising young sire Russian Revolution as well as G3 winner Turbo Miss.
From a stallion producing family that has given us champion sires Encosta de Lago and Flying Spur.

Lot 653 Colt Snitzel x Progressive, by Street Cry (IRE)

Second foal of metro winning daughter of champion sire Street Cry, with next two dams also by champion sires Encosta de Lago and Danehill.

Third dam Twyla is a three-quarter sister to champion sire Redoute’s Choice and G1 winners Al Maher and Platinum Scissors, the family also producing current starts such as triple G1 winner Shoals.

Lot 773 Colt I Am Invincible x Silver Tiara, by Ferocity

One of very few grey progeny by champion sire I Am Invincible making him a highly desirable syndicators horse.

Half-brother to SW Silvera from a half-sister to Champion 3YO Stayer Shoot Out, a five time G1 winner, and G3 winners I’m a Princess and Cassandara Shadow.

Lot 988 Colt Astern x Sister Bruce, by Shamardal (USA)

From the first crop of Medaglia D’Oro’s outstanding G1 winner Astern winner of the VRC Coolmore Stud Stakes.

Half-brother to SW Westport from a daughter of champion sire Shamardal from the family of Golden Slipper winner Dance Hero.
