Half-Sister for Addictive Nature

Media Release - Friday September 1
A day after three-year-old Savabeel colt Addictive Nature recorded his first stakes success by winning the Group III ATC Ming Dynasty over 1400m at Rosehill Gardens, his dam Generous Nature foaled an impressive half-sister at Sledmere Stud.

Owned by great clients Little Avondale Stud, the filly was foaled on August 27 and is by their resident Group I producing sire Per Incanto (USA), a Group II-winning son of Winx's sire Street Cry.

Sledmere Stud sold a Sebring filly out of the mare at the 2017 Inglis Easter Yearling Sale to Trent Busuttin for $230,000, with the filly being recently named Our Sunny Girl.

With foals five to race for three winners, Generous Nature is proving herself to be a quality broodmare.

Addictive Nature wins the Listed ATC Ming Dynasty StakesHere first foal, Sir Ferrari – Hostwin Challenge (Mac) is a six time-winning, multiple stakes placed son Testa Rossa, while her third foal is the Group 2 Mitchelton Wines Vase and Group 3 Newcastle JC Spring Stakes winner Savvy Nature (Savabeel) who also finished third in the Group 1 Spring Champion Stakes and fourth in the Group 1 Australian Derby.

With two wins and a second from just three starts, Addictice Nature (Savabeel) could just become the best of those raced to date with trainer Bjorn Baker always having a high opinion on the colt.

"Addictive Nature has untapped potential,'' Baker said. "He is still going a bit wrong in his races so we definitely haven't seen the best of him yet.

"But he was an expensive yearling ($775,000) and is the best-looking horse I have ever trained. He has always shown us a lot so it was great to see him win like that.''

Addictive Nature could possibly head to the $1 million Group 1 Golden Rose (1400m) on September 23 and victory there would add considerable value to the lovely Per Incanto filly.

Generous Nature will be covered this season by Yarraman Park Stud's leading sire I Am Invincible.
