No Winx, no worries, Chris Waller made it three consecutive Apollo Stakes wins when the import Endless Drama (IRE) edged the gallant Global Glamour in the Group II feature at Randwick on Saturday.
A Champion Irish Miler, the Lope De Vega entire began his career in Ireland where he won two of his eight starts and finished runner-up in the 2015 Gr.1 Irish 2000 Guineas (1609m) before making his way to Australia where he was successful in the 2018 Gr.2 Apollo Stakes (1400m) at Randwick. Sent to New Zealand to contest the 2019 Gr.1 Haunui Farm WFA Classic (1600m), he remained in the care of Cambridge trainer Tony Pike for his remaining fourteen starts where he won the Gr.2 Easter Handicap (1600m) and the Gr.2 Foxbridge Plate (1200m) while also finishing third in the Gr.1 Stradbroke Handicap (1400m) during a brief winter campaign in Brisbane. Endless Drama commenced stud duties in 2021.
