Juvenile Trial Watch – Randwick

Tara Madgwick - Tuesday May 26

A small set of trials at Randwick on Tuesday morning on the polytrack included three juvenile winners with a homebred for Gerry Harvey by I Am Invincible catching the eye.

I Am Invincible is the sire of Rosa Moyessi Back in 2012, Gerry Harvey purchased former star Tasmanian mare Lady Lynette off the track at the Inglis Broodmare Sale for $270,000.

She’s had six foals since then and the fifth of them is I Am Invincible filly Rosa Moyessi, who is trained by Mark Newnham.

She was having her second trial following a quiet fourth on May 15 and when asked to do a little more this time over the final furlong knuckled down to her task for James McDonald winning her 1080 metre heat by a long head.

Lady Lynette has produced only one winner to date, so Gerry Harvey will be hoping for better from Rosa Moyessi and particularly so given her dam is back in foal to I Am Invincible after producing a colt by Written Tycoon last spring.

I Am Invincible has already delivered for Gerry Harvey in giving him Group II wining filly Libertini, so Rosa Moyessi has some big shoes to fill.
