Blueblood Maiden Winner Brings Magic Millions Update

Tara Madgwick - Wednesday January 13

The Kia Ora Stud colours were carried to victory at Warwick Farm on Wednesday in the first race by promising Sebring filly Shivani, whose half-brother by I Am Invincible will be offered at Magic Millions on Saturday night.

The Team Hawkes trained filly showed the benefit of recent racing when powering clear to win the 1400m maiden by three lengths as a hot favourite at her fourth start.

Passed in as a yearling and retained to race by Kia Ora, she is the second winner from Group II winning Not a Single Doubt mare Villa Verde, who was bought for $1.1million off the track at the Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale in 2015.

Kia Ora sold an I Am Invincible filly from Villa Verde at Inglis Easter last yar and they will offer an I Am Invincible colt from her as Lot 934.
