Juvenile Trial Watch – Hawkesbury

Tara Madgwick - Friday February 26

Godolphin elected to scratch their two runners from the Group II ATC Sweet Embrace Stakes on Saturday and those two fillies Sliders and Testimonial both stepped out at the Hawkesbury barrier trials on Friday morning and recorded easy wins.

Sliders (Street Boss (USA) jumped fast for Rachel King and led all the way to win her 800m heat by more than four lengths, so is obviously ready to go when the stable select a race for her.

Testimonial (Medaglia D’Oro (USA) ran slightly quicker time. She stalked the leader for Rachel King and powered clear under a hold to win by a length and a half.

Both Sliders and Testimonial have shown good ability in their two previous runs to date and look well primed to return to raceday.

There were seven 2YO heat winners in total: Najmaty (I Am Invincible), Anagain (Hinchinbrook), Carry on Cathy (Press Statement), Jerry (Nicconi) and Dark Energy, a three-quarter brother by Exosphere to dual Group I winner Impending.
