Tara Madgwick - Sunday February 28

One of the most progressive thoroughbred enterprises in the country, Victorian based Yulong made their presence felt on Sunday at the Inglis Premier Yearling Sale selling the second highest priced lot of the session when their Shaaa (IRE) colt from Our Daisy sold for $700,000.

The colt was bought by Bahen Bloodstock/ Matt Laurie Racing, who secured four horses in the first session for $2,020,000 putting them second on the leading buyers by aggregate list behind only Ciaron Maher Bloodstock.

From the second crop of Arrowfield Stud’s young gun sire Shalaa (IRE), the colt is the second foal of metro winning Commands mare Our Daisy, who comes from the family of Group I winners Emerald Dream, Shooting to Win and leading sire Deep Field.
