Brothers-in-Blood Highlight a Wet Morning

Tara Madgwick - Tuesday March 23

Wet weather in the Hunter Valley this morning has forced a reshuffle of the studs on the Inglis Easter inspection tour, but Breednet owner Craig Tompson has found a star colt and kept dry at the same time.

Emirates Park have had a very hot run of recent stakes success, their brand carried by the likes of stakes-winners Lightsaber, Marboosha and Liwa, not to mention exciting prospects Hilal and Najmaty, but the best of them all may well be Enthaar.

Retained to race by Emirates Park, Enthaar was given to Ciaron Maher and David Eustace to train and has proven an immediate success.

The daughter of Written Tycoon won the Group III ATC Gimcrack Stakes in a breeze and then the Group III MRC Chairman’s Stakes, but came unstuck in the Group I MRC Blue Diamond Stakes when she faded to finish sixth.

Trying 1200m for the first time and set a task from a wide gate, she over raced in the lead to be beaten three lengths, but there is no doubt Enthaar is a budding Group I sprinter of the future.

Lot 305 - click to see the page for the half-brother to Enthaar.

Emirates Park will offer her half-brother by I Am Invincible as Lot 305 and he’s a colt that will be on everyone’s list.

He is the third foal of blue-blooded Not a Single Doubt mare Final Agreement, whose first two foals are both winners.

Bought by Emirates Park for $600,000 at the Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale, Final Agreement is a full sister to Group I winner Secret Agenda, who has her first foal also in this sale consigned by Cressfield as Lot 71, click to read about him here.

Lot 71 and Lot 305 are full brothers-in-blood being by the same sire I Am Invincible from full sisters Final Agreement and Secret Agenda, so if you are keen on the first one and miss out, remember there is another!
