$2.5Million Snitzel Colt Keeps Highlights Coming at Inglis Easter

Tara Madgwick - Tuesday April 6

Arrowfield Stud were absent from Inglis Easter last year after withdrawing their entire draft in favour of a private sale, but they have returned to Riverside Stables in force this year with a sensational draft that includes the Snitzel colt from Rising Romance that sold for $2.5million on Tuesday morning.

The second foal of Group I ATC Australian Oaks winner Rising Romance, he was knocked down to Hawkes Racing and is the second highest priced yearling ever sired by Snitzel.

The first foal from Rising Romance is two year-old Snitzel filly Yearning, who is also trained by Team Hawkes and runs in the Arrowfield colours for Arrowfield and partners.

Yearning ran a slashing second on debut at Randwick on March 25 and looms as a stakes-performer of the future.

Rising Romance has been married to Snitzel since retiring to stud and has a colt foal to follow and is back in foal the champion sire again.

Below is the list of Snitzel’s top selling yearlings coming into this sale with this colt from Rising Romance his fourth yearling to sell for $2million plus.
