Zoustar filly Wins by Six

Tara Madgwick - Monday August 16

Red Hawk was not the only well bred three year-old to win by a wide margin at Ballarat on Monday for the Tony and Calvin McEvoy stable with Zoustar filly Star of Chaos also looking to be a prospect for better races this spring.

Read about Red Hawk here.

Star of Chaos was unplaced on debut behind Scorched Earth in the Magic Millions Adelaide 2YO Classic back in February, but showed her true colours when racing on the pace and clearing out to win the 1200m maiden by six lengths.

Star of Chaos as bred by Widden Stud in partnership with Paul Frampton  and fetched $150,000 at Magic Millions when bought by Belmont Bloodstock P/L (FBAA)/McEvoy Mitchell Racing with her breeders retaining an interest in her ownership.

Star of Chaos as a yearling.

Entered for the Group I MRC Thousand Guineas, Star of Chaos is the second winner from Mischief N Mayhem (GB), a placed daughter of Group I winner Mail the Desert and half-sister to the dam of Group II winner Miss Rose de Lago.

Zoustar has already made a quick start to the new season with 11 winners including stakes-winner The Astrologist and stands this spring at Widden stud at a fee of $154,000.
