Star Fillies Dominate Listed Mode Plate

Tara Madgwick - Saturday December 4

Widden Stud’s Star Witness sired the quinella in the Listed BRC Mode Stakes (1200m) at Doomben on Saturday with Rhapsody Rose defeating fast finishing Puntontheredlight with third and fourth placed Miss Hipstar and Stellar Magic being daughters of Star Witness’s sire son Star Turn.

The Chris Munce trained Rhapsody Rose was sent out favourite for the sprint and claimed her second Black Type victory with a half-length win over Puntontheredlight, who looks well capable of winning a stakes race of her own in the near future.
