Back To Back Wins for Invincible Crown at Moonee Valley

Mark Smith - Friday December 10

Consistent gelding Invincible Crown made it back-to-back wins at Moonee Valley when finishing strongly to claim Friday nights Front Runner Membership Hcp (1600m).

The 3yo son of Cable Bay (IRE) is making a mockery of her $30,000 purchase price as his record advances to two wins, a second and two thirds from six stats with earnings of $118,600.

With Damien Thornton in the saddle, the Robbie Griffiths and Mathew de Kock-trained gelding weaved between runners in the straight to run down the favourite Lady Court (American Pharoah) by a head with a neck back to Medal (Savabeel) in third.

“He was very impressive. He had it all to do but an twelve out of ten ride by Damien, was very patient and delivered,” de Kock said.
